About Us
Church Summary
Over 40 years ago, Ken and Connie Wilde packed up their life in Portland, Oregon, moved to Boise with three kids and a dream—to love and serve the Treasure Valley. What started as a few families meeting in a living room has grown into a vibrant church family, with thousands calling Capital Church their home.
Through worship, meals, small groups, prayers, and a lot of life lived together, we've seen God's heart for this valley over and over again: Jesus is for the people. Every background. Every story. Every generation.
Today, under the leadership of Krist and Kelly Wilde, that mission is more alive than ever. Together, they’re raising their energetic family of seven kids—and leading Capital with the belief that the best days are still ahead.
At Capital Church, we believe Jesus came to break down the walls the world builds up. His kingdom is wide open—to the misfit and the high flyer, the ones who have it together and the ones who don’t. No one is outside His reach.
In a world desperate for hope, we carry the best news: Jesus is King. Evil has been defeated. You belong in the family of God because of what Jesus has already done. And we’re here to live that good news out loud—for all the people.
We Believe:
We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the Scriptures as originally given and that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative for our lives. (1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13-14).
elieve
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit; born of the Virgin Mary, completely God and completely man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16)
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25)
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church. (John 14:2-3; 1 Corinthians 15:13-18)
elieve
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14, and as manifested in the Early Church.
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and a lifestyle of perfecting holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith. (Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1)
Believe
We believe in a literal heaven and hell, in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers. (Mark 9:43-58; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15).
Believe
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins through His shed blood. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)
elieve
We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in order to fulfill the command of Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6)
elieve
We believe in Divine Healing, the healing of the body by Divine Power as practiced in the Early Church. (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:1)
